"He who finds a wife, finds a good thing."
Proverbs 18:22 (NAS)
Did you know that being a police officer's wife
is a CALLING FROM GOD? Not just anyone can handle that calling!
God hand-selected you for your husband because He knows that you
are EXACTLY what your husband needs!
Ladies, you have a big job! As the saying goes,
"If you think it's tough being a police officer, try being
a police officer's wife!" Fortunately you also have a big God!
When He called you, He equipped you for the job. As a Christian,
everything you need to be an officer's wife is right there on the
inside of you!
You may not always FEEL like you can handle the
job... but don't despair... you are a work in progress! As you seek
God, He helps to mold you into what you need to be. He gives you
the strength to handle the challenges that come from being a law
enforcement spouse.
The biggest parts of your calling are going to be
to pray daily for your husband and to be his strongest support system.
As his wife, you have more affect on your officer than anyone else
ever could... maybe even more than you realize!
So today, get down on your knees and lift your husband
up to God in prayer! Ask God to protect that man He has given you,
and to show you how to continue becoming the wife that your officer
needs!
PRAYER: Father, I lift up my sisters to you, and
I ask that you would reveal to them just how important their role
is as a peace officer's wife! Give them a loving heart of prayer
for their husbands and mold them into the wife that their man needs!
In Jesus' name, amen.
