"...Rejoice in the wife of your youth... Be
exhilarated always with her love. For why should you, my son, be
exhilarated with an adulteress?" Proverbs 5:18b,19b,20a (NAS)
Badge bunnies... those women who prey on a man in
uniform... even if he's married. You know they're always going to
be around. What's a police wife to do??
Hopefully your marriage has a high trust and faithfulness
level. Even so, badge bunnies can be annoying and provide unnecessary
temptation for your husband. There IS something you can do. You
can PRAY. Ladies, don't ever discount the power of your prayers
for your husband. Be SPECIFIC in your prayers.
Ask God to put a barrier of marital protection around
your husband that no other woman can cross, even if she were to
try. Declare in prayer that your husband is exhilarated with your
love and that his desire is ONLY for you! Command seductive spirits
to stay away from him. And if you know of a specific situation that
leaves an unpeaceful feeling in your spirit, ask God to remove the
threat in whatever way He sees fit.
Please do not take this devotional as justification
for jealousy! It is NOT! There is, however, a real threat to police
marriages, and it needs to be dealt with in prayer. You can help
to protect your marriage by your prayers for your husband!
PRAYER: Father, I ask that you would protect police
marriages from the seductive spirits that are sent to attempt to
destroy them. Give officers wisdom to know when women are preying
on them and the wisdom to turn away from them. Put a spiritual barrier
around officers that NO adultress can cross! Strengthen police marriages
and enable them to be a Christian example to others! In Jesus' name,
amen.
