Apple Dumplings
2 to 3 large Granny Smith apples
1 can Hungry Jack flakey biscuits
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 stick margarine
cinnamon
Peel & cut apples into eighths.
Divide each biscuit into 2 layers. Dab in flour to work with easier.
Spread biscuits big enough to place an apple slice on each one.
Fold edges around to cover apple completely. Lay each apple dumpling
in a casserole dish.
Mix 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and
1 stick of margarine in a pot and bring to a boil. Pour over apple
dumplings. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 400* for approximately
20 minutes or until golden brown. Best served warm with Cool Whip
or vanilla ice cream.
