Welcome to Handcuffed Hearts,
a place for spouses of Law Enforcement Officers.

What is Handcuffed Hearts? Handcuffed Hearts (HH) was formed in January of 1999. At that time, there were not many resources available on the internet for spouses of Law Enforcement Officers. Handcuffed Hearts started out as just a forum, but has since expanded to include this website. The HH Forum has become a safe haven for LEO spouses to communicate their fears, worries, frustrations, and joys that come with being married to a Peace Officer. It is home to 11 administrators, and over 150 members that post and chat daily.

To become a member, there is no fee; simply stop by the forum, introduce yourself, and enjoy the resources this website has to offer.

Sincerely,

Christine
Webmaster and founder of Handcuffed Hearts

Ask the Police Psychologist ____

Q: My husband was injured in the line of duty two months ago. Even through all his medical appointments, I have gone into a state of denial about this. Is this normal?

Cop Devotionals for Wives
From CopDevotionals4Wives

________A Police Officer's Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the streets,
not a person was stirring, 'cept an officer on the beat.
As he quietly patrolled the town with great care,
children and parents slept peacefully there.

The officer was clad in his blues and his vest,
gun on his hip, always looking his best.
He'd just pulled aside for a quick bite to eat,
When all of a sudden, out on the street,

A bright light appeared from out of nowhere,
He shielded his eyes from the brilliant glare.
'Twas an angel of the Lord at the squad's rear,
He smiled and spoke, "Dear Officer, don't fear."
